Cynthia Vessel, Ed.D. is a Chicago native who has worked for over 35 years with faithbased and community organizations that provide wrap-around services for those in need. The types of support include education, job readiness, parenting, business development, and life coaching. Her work directs those in need of food, housing, and mental health to the various resources to recover, sustain, and thrive.
She currently works in higher education guiding students from entry to their desired highest level. With the management of caseloads that have exceeded 600, her work with students is reflected in data that show an 85 to 95% success rate when it comes to the classroom, advising, financial support, retention, family support, entry, preparation and transition to college, and graduation rates with a special emphasis on athletes.
Dr. Vessel uses her expertise to direct those in need through the challenges of connecting to the funding and resources available to help fulfill their goals and dreams. She has served on several boards and hosted numerous functions.
